#3 The fight, seen through a viewfinder

The combat HUD is redrawn as a camera viewfinder. You can now see on screen how much a parry or a counter adds to the ultimate gauge.

Up to the last post the combat screen was a stand-in. The game's HUD is now redrawn as a camera viewfinder.

What changed

  • Viewfinder brackets in the four corners, a date and frame number at the lower left
  • Three parry gauge segments under the HP
  • The big number at the upper left is the ultimate gauge. Hits fill it, parries and counters fill it more, and the gain is shown right beside it.
  • The boss's HP and break gauge at the upper right
A counter lands. The gauge is full and the ultimate is ready.

The start of a run

Fight 1 → fight 2 → rest stop → boss. The top of the screen shows where you are.

Every name (LUX, GLOW, LONG EXPOSURE and so on) and number on screen is a placeholder. The typefaces are Chakra Petch and Black Han Sans, both under the SIL OFL.
